- How much do Churchill breakdown services cost?
You could enjoy substantial savings compared with traditional motoring organisations. Our prices match your circumstances (e.g. your car, where you live, and your age) like motor insurance. If you have a reliable car that you maintain well, you pay less than someone with an old unreliable car.

- Do you offer breakdown cover to cab drivers?
No - this is because we do not cover vehicles that may be used for financial gain.
- Do you have all the breakdown cover levels?

- How can I get a breakdown cover quote whilst in Churchill Online?
Once logged in to Churchill Online, click on the Breakdown tab. Then select new quote.
- Who provides your breakdown services?
We have joined forces with Green Flag Motoring Assistance. Green Flag provide the breakdown service to you on behalf of Churchill. Green Flag is renowned for providing exceptional service. Green Flag uses a nationwide network of over 1,500 independent garages and 6,000 mechanics, so help is always near.
- When I buy breakdown cover, can I use the service straight away?
When you buy a breakdown policy, your cover will start the following day.
- Why do I need a password?
We will ask you to save your quote with a password to ensure that no one other than you can view or alter your personal details. This password will enable you to access your personal details and save you having to enter them again.
Service and cover
- Do I have breakdown cover if I'm travelling in someone else's car?
We give you the choice to decide if you need this level of protection with our Personal Cover option. Although, unlike most providers, we don't insist that you pay for a service you may not need.
- Do I have breakdown cover if someone else drives my car?
With all our cover levels, your car is covered whoever is driving it.
- Will I get a refund if I cancel my breakdown cover during the policy year?
Providing you have not had a call-out in that period of insurance, you will receive a refund calculated on a pro-rata basis, less a cancellation charge of 50% of the annual premium.
- What do I do if I need to cancel my breakdown cover?
Simply give us a call and we will cancel the cover for you.
- Is my caravan or trailer covered?
Your caravan and trailer will have the same cover as your vehicle when you are towing them using your vehicle. There are certain restrictions, please download the policy booklet for full details.
- Am I covered when I take my vehicle abroad?
If you have our highest level of breakdown cover – Churchill Advanced Rescue Service – and your vehicle is aged 10 years or less, you will be covered whilst motoring in both the UK and Europe.
- Can I change or view my policy online?
No, our Customer Service pages are temporarily unavailable whilst we upgrade our online services. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
Payment
- How can I pay for my policy?
If you would like to buy your policy online, we can accept payment from the following Credit or Debit cards in one lump sum: Visa, Access, MasterCard, American Express and Switch. If you would like to pay for your premium by Direct Debit you can pay in one lump sum or monthly instalments. If you choose to pay by Direct Debit, you will be asked to pay a deposit using one of the card types listed above. We do not accept Solo and Electron online but if you select direct debit lump sum you can enter the sort code and account number shown on your Solo and Electron card. If paying by card, "card number" refers to the long number shown across the middle of your card (this is between 16 and 21 digits).
- Is it safe to pay for my policy on the Internet?
Yes. Our site uses 128-bit encryption that disguises and protects your personal and payment details and prevents them from being accessed by or disclosed to third parties. For more information on our site security, please click on the Verisign Image at the bottom of this page.
Claims
- What is the excess on my Churchill breakdown services policy?
Our breakdown policies have no excess.
- How do I know if my roadside recovery agent has been appointed by Green Flag?
We take personal security extremely seriously. Members of our recovery network are vetted. Our regional agents will carry an ID card and we're able to advise customers of the name of the regional agent we expect to attend to their incident.
- Will customers who have other Churchill products get preferential treatment if they break down?
No. All our customers will receive a top-class service. The only priorities will be to those in vulnerable situations.
- What type of breakdown incident does Churchill cover?
Incidents that we cover are breakdown, accident (but not a road traffic accident), theft or attempted theft, malicious damage, fire or attempted fire, flat type, lack of fuel, flat battery, lost or broken keys.
- How can I let my friends, family or business associates know that I have broken down?
If necessary, we will pass on up to three phone messages to let them know about your travel delay.
